• For most people choose the 12mm cylindrical rod (around 1/2″) is a perfect scale for a typical home width of staircase. Otherwise, the 16mm option works on extra wide staircases.
• Meanwhile, if you are looking for that extra detail, then consider a reeded or spiral design of rod, rather than the standard plain option.
• This particular design of stair carpet rod is made-to-measure, which will fit your staircase, exactly. You will find tips on how to measure up what length you require below.
• All our runner bars are supplied with a pair of matching-finished stair rod brackets with screws. The standard 12mm (1/2”) brackets supplied have a 14mm clearance to allow for the underlay and carpet (or natural flooring). The 16mm brackets (5/8″) have a 16mm clearance.
• When ordering, select the Runner bracket if you have a carpet runner fitted, alternatively, Side Fix or Front Fix brackets if you have a fitted carpet.
