Zinc Textile Par Autumn
Checkmate’s riotous other half, Juego, pronounced ‘hweh-goh’ meaning ‘game’ in Spanish, is a continuation of inspired playfulness, full of gregarious designs and highly textured fabrics. Elaborate embroideries, colourful tapestries, linens, chenilles and velvets, you name it, this collection has it. Crude patterns bring a beachy vibe with their beautifully bold, organic demeanour and rugged character, presented in an earthy colour palette that Zinc is known and loved for, packed with rich shades of Tobacco, Hunting and Ochre.
Considerately but not uniformly positioned, half-moon shapes are digitally printed on to a soft cotton velvet cloth creating an all-over geometric pattern. The subtle nuances of colour from the original hand-painted artwork can still be seen in the detailed print.
